Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
